Asia Minor is the land area that separates the Black Sea from the Mediterranean, and is connected only by the Bosphorus Sea. The Black Sea is surrounded on all sides by the land and despite being named as black, the actual color of this sea cannot serve as a somewhat reliable and recognizable specificity by which it stands out and differs from other seas.
