So, my husband took me to Bern's on my birthday. He even emailed the public relations department in advance to see if they can do anything to make our evening better (he told me about that later on). We went to the restaurant and the hostess was rude from the get go, telling me to (sit down and wait till a table becomes available). It's not the waiting part that bothered me, it was her insulting tone. So we get to the table, the waiter asks us whose birthday it is, we tell him it's mine. We ordered Prosecco so the waiter shows up with Chardonnay and regular wine glasses. We had to tell him AGAIN that we ordered Prosecco. He finally got us the right wine. We repeated our food order to him twice coz he kept getting it wrong for some reason. Our Chateaubriand was served cooked fine on the inside but with a dry and burnt crust! To top it all off, they didn't even give me a single candle to blow! While I heard (happy birthday to you) being sang at other tables throughout the evening! Additionally, Bern's used to be classy, but now they let people with torn jeans, shorts and beach dresses dine in! We've been regular customers since 2017 (going there at least 3-4 times / year). Don't know what's happening this year with their customer service / standards in general. 2 bad experiences. Won't be going back. Thanks for ruining my birthday Bern's !

UPDATE: Thanks for the reply but our server should have told us something was planned in the dessert room, not just let us get up and leave.
I think giving your restaurant 2 chances is enough. At this point it would just be a waste of money.
