I saw Donna, East West Wellness' owner who is a registered dietitian and acupuncturist, for over a year. I was having severe pain which alleviated primarily using Chinese herbs she prescribed me. She recommended changing my diet. After I began this new regiment, my pain started to dissipate. I no longer needed to rely on the herbs for pain. In addition, my level of energy and concentration dramatically improved. Even my emotional health improved. It took some time to figure out what the problem was. I've always felt that something was just "wrong," but I couldn't explain it. There is still a lot more I can do to achieve more optimal health, but I am many steps closer.

I have also seen Agatha, one of the massage therapists. She is definitely one of the best I've been to. Lisa, the physical therapist has a unique and effective approach to her work, and I left with several exercises she provided me with. I was having some shortness of breath where I felt as though I couldn't take enough air in. It turns out that was indeed the case, and Lisa showed me that my rib cage was asymmetrical, and in fact, one side was limiting the amount of air I could take into my left lung. I now use one of her exercises frequently when the sensation returns. I saw a doctor about this issue, and unfortunately I didn't get any resolution. It wasn't until several years later that I saw Lisa, who was the first person to help me with the problem. Bonus: She is also very patient and willing to spend extra time with you, if necessary, at no additional charge.

In addition, the infrared sauna is incredibly relaxing and the only one I know of that is publicly available in the area, and you do not need a membership to use it. Just be sure to bring your own towels because there is a fee towel fee otherwise.
