A friend comes here every year for Mothers Day. This year the Sheraton offered a very inexpensive deal that included breakfast for $99. Well, a lot of people got the deal, which is great, but the hotel was overrun with young families. We went down to the pool to visit with the couple and their young daughter and not only was the pool overcrowded, but so was the hottub. It was a little frightening. While one couple with a two-year-old and three-year-old boys hung out drinking in the hottub, their boys dove into the pool. We jumped up to get them. We told the mom who nonchalantly told us, "Yes. I'm watching them." She could not see the boys in the pool, but was too drunk to care. One little girl was carrying what had to be a two-month-old baby into the hottub. We stopped her and she told us his mother said she could. There were babies and young children in the hottub. It was too crowded to get in it. Like most hotels, there were no life guards to tell children not to run. People were drinking, and hanging out. It was one big party. There was no way I was getting into that pool with the amount of children and babies in diapers in it. When we left, it took the valley 30 minutes to get our car. No one said anything. We finally had to ask a valley, who was chatting up one of his buddies to check on it. Just ridiculous.

My friends, who have come here for years, said they'll be finding somewhere else to go next year. I can't say that I blame them at all.
