Absolutely sleazy. We had an unpaid balance of 87 cents getting sent to the wrong address. They didn't apply payments to our current autopay account even though the car in question had a valid Tolltag because "their system isn't set up that way." Because we didn't get the notices, we didn't realize they weren't applying the bill to the car.

They've given Texas government enough "favors" that the law is completely on their side and they have no incentive to fix their dysfunctional billing system. What a happy arrangement for them - they get to bill their customers for their shoddy system, and make a hefty profit on it!

That 87 cents? It ended up costing us $35 in fees. Pretty much the definition of usury. Drain this damn swamp already and get us some competition! NTTA needs to go bankrupt yesterday.
