I have no doubt that Johns Hopkins attracts some of the best medical talent in the world, but please know that if you can receive comparable care in other hospital network, STAY AWAY from Johns Hopkins. Whatever preconceptions you have about their excellence in care is simply false.

The reality is that because JH has such a demand for their services based on reputation alone, they can abandon common sense decency and basic human courtesy without recourse. The lack of compassion, ownership and accountability is stunning.

We had the great misfortune of being under the care of the Neurosciences Critical Care Unit (NCCU) for two nightmarish days. While under their care , we had significant, safety related concerns that were consistently and blatantly disregarded by every level of leadership in that department. It was clear they simply didn t care, relegating us to second class citizens.

Again, I cannot say this enough-If you can get medical care somewhere else, please do not come here no matter what you ve thought you heard about this place.

On a secondary note, total bush league to charge for parking. The only hospital I ve ever seen do that. Real first class JH.
