Want to start by saying we had NO PROBLEMS prior to calling for septic tank service.
Called Rooter Plus to pump septic tank, was told over phone $150 for 1000 gal. or $250 for 1500. We didn't know what size we had but wanted to get this work done and asked them out. After began working, the tech said our system was needing a bunch of additional services($2900!!) or we'd have sewage backing up into our home!! It was evening, the septic opened and exposed and we were afraid not to allow this them to do the work fearing the worst. He offered us a 10% discount (WOW) for paying cash and we paid them $2640.20 cash! Felt sick about it!
Next day, I made some calls and researched online to find out we were taken advantage of! We could have gotten a BRAND NEW system installed for under $2900. Several complaints online from homeowners with similar situations. I called the owner, Gary Jeffers, just to be told they did what they said they would do. He said he could offer a reduced price $2400. We did not need all these extra services and certainly didn't need to spend $1668.73 for 2 gallons of Oxidizer PLUS, which is a treatment brand only available through Rooter Plus. I was told by several companies this was totally unnecessary, I should have paid no more than $350 for the septic pump. PLEASE BEWARE of this company! They are scamming homeowners of thousands of dollars and need to be STOPPED!!
