If you visit Twickenham in a wheelchair or mobility scooter, be prepared for disappointment. The allocated pitch-side seating is physicaly not large enough. Once the wheelchair is within the marked area, there's no space to fold-down the seats behind for your assistant to sit down. You can't move forward to let them sit there because you would block the access. So say goodbye to your assistant.
The disabled WC is located between two entrances to the men's toilets, which at halftime and full time are mobbed. Getting to the disabled WC in a wheelchair in that crowd is a nightmare.
Then, when the match gets underway, the flat on view of the pitch is appalling. The flat access seats are below the level of the pitch. Security guys and photographers block the view, but so does the advertising hoarding, which cuts out the touchline and any play that does take place nearby. Thoroughly disappointing. Insufficient care has been given to the disabled person's experience.
