We had a very bad experience at this hotel. This place is not four star hotel. Our Deluxe Double room we had booked for four nights was located in another building across the street. The room was in the basement floor -1, extremely small and the moldy smell was impossible to ignore! We could not have slept in this room, so we kindly requested for a new room at the reception. Hence, we got moved to another room in the main building on the ground floor. This new room was better, but the carpet was visibly so dirty you had wear shoes all the time.
Anyhow, after a few hour I realized I had accidentally left my laptop in the safety box in the old room. I reported this to the reception but was told that there already were new guests in the room. The man at the reception tried to call the room once. After no one picking up he concluded that I needed to wait until the next morning for the guests to check out and then get my laptop. How is it possible that I have a very important item in the safety, no one checked the box before giving the room for other guests and I d have to wait until they check out to get my stuff?! Completely outrageous!
The next morning I asked the same man at the reception if I d be able to finally to get my laptop. He just answered that the guests are still in the room and there is nothing he can do about my laptop! A few moments after a friend of mine went to the receptions again to ask another man if he could help with the matter. In a few minutes this other employee returned with the laptop without any problems!
Some of the employees at the hotel were kind and helpful but overall the experience was horrible. If you can, please choose another hotel for your trip in London.
