Please do yourself a favor and take your car elsewhere. Here are some of my issues from today:
1. They charge $100/hour for mechanic's time. The private shop in my neighborhood charges $89/hour.
2. They charged me 1.5 hours of labor to replace spark plugs and spark plug wires. It took me 20 minutes to do this the one time I did it, and I am far from a professional mechanic.
3. They do not keep regular maintenance items in stock. I called several days ahead to schedule and confirmed my appointment date and service list via fax, yet they still waited until they had my car on-site before they ordered the parts, adding several days to the repair time.
4. Their service agent did not call me to discuss the results & service suggestions after the mechanic did the inspection of the overall car.
5. Their service agent did not return my call after I left a message inquiring about the status of the repairs.
6. Their loaner car had a cracked windshield, a headliner that was falling down, and smelled like smoke -- all from a car with 16K miles.
7. They wanted 2 hours labor to clean out the drains from the rain rail and the cockpit of the car. This should be 10-20 minutes when the car is on the stand, maybe less.
The shop had my car for 2 days -- plenty of time to do all of the repair work based on the last time I had this series of major servicing done. When I went to pick up my car I learned that all of the parts were on back order and that they only work they completed was the fluid changes (oil, transmission, and differential) and the spark plugs/wires. Finding out that all of the parts were on order & would arrive in 3 days sent me through the roof.
I cancelled the remainder of the service and then the service agent had the gall to tell me that I had to pay a 15% restocking charge for the maintenance items. They finally waived it after I went on a tirade about how these are routine maintenance items that they should have in stock.
Please, please, please take your business elsewhere. This place is not worth the cost and headaches. This shop is unprofessional, poorly run, and ridiculously expensive.
