Horror movie experience when you see people manipulate you into depositing more money and give you 30 minutes to do so or they would liquidate your portfolio. I did not deposit more funds and as I refuse to take decision under pressure and went little too far and treated respectfully the representative that called me as I refuse to be spoken as if I owe something to someone. Next thing I see, at 3.55 PM, they have liquidated my ENTIRE PORTFOLIO while the value of the margin call was only 10% of the value of my portfolio. They made me lose close to 20k on that move and made themselves en extra 100$ in trade fees. My nightmare was just beginning. I opened an account with another institutional and requested a transfer. My transfer was not done because apparently they called me to confirm and I didn't pick up the phone. I did have a missed call and no one left me a message and I didn't bother checking who called since there was no voice mail. Eventually my transfer did finally take place and instead of normal 5 -7 business days that it takes for electronic transfers (in cash and not in kind), it took over 60 days. The stocks I had in my portfolio before liquidation ended up doubling in price and aside from losing 20k on my margin call, I lost maybe another 80k on the lost opportunity to make profits based on the stocks I had in my portfolio.

I have a funny accent when I speak English and these guys would make fun of my accent and I hear how their colleagues would laugh in the background...My experience was so horrible that if I was paid a salary to share it with other people, I'd accept it as a full time job.
