I m wasting precious time writing because I am really quite upset. I stayed in the Fenwick inn a year ago and had an issue. Their bed frame was sticking out, it gave me a wound, and I was limping at the beach for my birthday weekend. The manager at that time apologized and compensated by giving me a letter to come visit for a complimentary night- even stating to come during summer! I have been looking forward to getting compensated for my troubles then. I called the property and was told that the supervisor is no longer there, it is under different management, and they cannot honor it. I come from a hospitality background, both education and experience, and this is not right. This management still uses the name Fenwick Inn and they should still honor what a previous employee did (regardless if previous management) to compensate for a bad situation. I even asked if they would honor a night on a Thursday instead of a weekend, and they still did not agree. Bobby was nice in telling me that it could not be honored because of different management, but I feel like John, the general manager, should have honored it anyway. It s called customer service and going the extra mile...especially for the reputation of a name Fenwick Inn.
