I had a tenancy dispute at a rental property and the team at newtown did not do much to help me. It was a very distressing time trying to escape an emotionally abusive narcissistic relationship and was forced out of the property by my then partner. After trying to get my name off the lease no one was able to help me. They made a very ill informed decision to call the police on me without my consent. This led to missing a day of work and a large ambulance bill which they refuse any responsibility for. I was not charged or committed for anything.
They then told me not to worry about getting my name off the lease only to tell me a month or so later that I indeed had to sign off documents, triggering me with further trauma.
They did not do enough to help me get out of a bad situation and more so the police doing a worse job. Avoid.
