This is a dog-friendly pub, with a small garden at the back. There are picnic tables on grass and others on tarmac. There's also good off-road cycle parking. Inside there are high wooden beams, proper wooden furniture, log burning stoves and it is mercifully free of television sets. Good Italian food and real beer and cider, and good atmosphere. Usually it's busy but the staff and locals still kindly tolerate a large hound stretched out across the floor, and they provide dog water bowls.
