I'm a big fan of Hilton hotels and resorts and visit Hiltons more than any other hotel chain. I was very disappointed with the quality of this hotel which should probably be removed from the Hilton portfolio. The public spaces actually look good (facade, lobby, pool, on-site restaurant, etc.), and the location and ocean view are great, but the bedrooms are horrible. I believe we should get a refund of our Hilton honors points as we got little value from this stay.

I've never even seen bed linens and shower curtains so wrinkled. There was no care taken as to how the bed linens were ironed (there were commercial iron marks all over), and the shower curtain was probably just pulled from some corner. Also, the sheets were put on sideways (who does that!?), there were streaks on bathroom mirror, dust on the headboards, etc., etc.

My assessment that this hotel should be kicked out of Hilton probably falls right in line with the manager's view in that they allow the concierge to entice guests with timeshare presentations for other resorts! We stopped by the concierge desk and had a disturbing encounter with a rep when we were offered an opportunity to "visit" and "walk through" a new hotel nearby in order to receive a 2-night stay at one of their properties. "No timeshare presentation" said Cheryl the rep but everyone knows that's not true - no surprise as my research later showed it was for a Diamonds International hotel afterall, a brand sued by a number of State AGs for deceptive sales practices. Sales practices my wife and I luckily didn't fall for when we experienced their high-pressure sales tactics years ago that resulted in DI staff anger and insults when we declined. Even when we started to Cheryl that we'd upgraded our Hilton Grand Vacations ownership a few days before, she pressed that it didn't matter because they weren't selling anything. In fact, she stated, "I work for Hilton!" Either this hotel allows its employees to promote non-Hilton properties or allows non-Hilton companies to solicit guests on its property. No matter the answer, there's a problem. We complained to the front desk but were just told that she doesn't work for Hilton and shouldn't say she does. I doubt other action was taken so we reported the matter to corporate.
