Reading mixed reviews before coming to Oreilly's R...

Reading mixed reviews before coming to Oreilly's Retreat meant we weren't sure what to expect, but we absolutely loved it! Such warm welcoming hospitality. We listened to the managers welcome at afternoon tea which was really informative of the history of the retreat and activities which really added to the enjoyment of our stay. Our kids (3 and 8) loved it at Oreilly's and our whole family thoroughly enjoyed the glow worm tour, birds of prey show, and the flying fox. The name retreat really describes the venue well, it's not a luxury resort, but a beautiful retreat to enjoy the natural beauty of nature and relax. The breakfast spread was amazing! All staff were extremely knowledgeable and friendly and welcoming. It had a homestay/camp feel to the accommodation which we really missed when we left and stayed in another run of the mark hotel.
The only areas for improvement we could identify was the camp-fire and hot chocolate, turned out to be a bit of a null event and an expensive hot chocolate and 2xmarshmellows, and the beautiful infinity pool that was not heated which meant it was too cold for us to use which was disappointing (we were particularly looking forward to swimming in the pool after seeing it well advertised).
Staff and Oreilly family have a lot of pride in the retreat and location and rightly so, it's great! The staff seem to really like it there and it appeared that they are well taken care of which flowed onto the visitors. We loved it at Oreilly's, we didn't want to leave and we would love to come back again.
