Let me begin with this: our florals were gorgeous. Dave (our consultant) and his team are professionals and really know what they're doing when it comes to floral arrangements and decor. Our table arrangements were beautiful, they were delivered to our hotel on time, and everything was perfect for our ceremony.
However, where Dalsimer Atlas exceeds expectations in work product, their communication and helpfulness fall short of acceptable. When I was referred to the Dalsimer team from my venue, I was expecting exceptional, as they're a preferred vendor, but I was met with less than that. Our first meeting with Dave and his team went well--he seemed interested in my ideas and offered tips and tricks to help move those ideas along. When we received our proposal, we were a little sticker-shocked; however, after going through that proposal and editing some things we didn't need, the cost was more manageable. As I was a bride who lived approximately 5 hours away from my venue, my main point of contact with Dave and his team was via e-mail. I am also a student, so it was important to me to plan things far in advance so I could make sure my school schedule was uninterrupted by various planning meetings with all of my vendors.
Long story short: it took Dave 3 emails and six months (one message in January, another in March, and another in June) to plan my floral trial, as Dave did not have his schedule made in either January or March for the fall wedding season. As people book wedding florists years in advance, this was a little concerning. When I was finally able to book my trial, he was conveniently out of the office most of the days I was able to come across the state, which was precisely what I was trying to avoid by scheduling early, so my trial was booked for 15 days before my wedding.
Additionally, we received an e-mail from bookkeeping that we'd missed a payment in August. A payment that was over 75% of a final total that we hadn't been able to update because we were unable to meet with Dave until September, regardless of my numerous requests for him to meet with me. A payment that we'd been assured that we'd have the final details completed before this payment was due. We paid the payment and met with Dave later, however it seems as though their communication is lacking, but their payment schedule is quite clear, regardless of the circumstances.
Overall, Dalsimer's work was exceptional, but their communication and customer service could be better.
