Sorry I had to give them a star. These people are in bed with insurance companies and hospitals. They jack the price of, for example, an orthopedic boot" that sells on Amazon and other sites for $50 - $70 dollars. They submit the charge of, $350 in my case, to the insurance company. Your Insurance company "Allows them to charge say $330 dollars of which they cover a portion of t, but leaves a remaining charge of $97 dollars that is "My Responsibility." 1st. The Initial charge is absolutely outrageous, 2nd The Insurance Company Plays along, hell they probably own the company! If you are having an orthopedic surgery, have your doctor tell you what he will be ordering for you, Boot, Brace, Crutches etc before the procedure. Check with your insurance and see what they cover for "Durable Medical Equipment" More often than not it's worth buying the item first depending on your deductible. Even covering 80% of 350 leaves a cost of $70.00, but what the cost should be is something like $70 which after coverage of the same amount 80% would leave a balance of $14 dollars that would be Patients responsibility. Charging $350 is HIGHWAY ROBBERY which is preying upon people who at the time are in pain, in need of help and have few if any good choices available to them.
