Just returned from break at this hotel as part of a trip thru California. Big hotel with great facilities and friendly polite helpful staff. Virgin Holidays booked us in with a complimentary breakfast - otherwise the buffet was $24 which seemed a bit pricey. We were allocated a poolside room which was clean and well situated. The hotel has recently been returned and odd things had been overlooked such as somewhere to hang your towels if you wanted to reuse them per the hotel's policy! We did notice that some of the poolside rooms were situated near the pool pump rooms etc. (smelly) and the ice vending machine (noisy as ice was in demand!) Courtesy bus to Fashion Island and Balboa was useful - a good base for a luxury stay in this area.
