The location near the Time Square is great, you can do a lot of walking or fast with the subway. The noise level at night was unexpectedly quieter than expected, of course you hear something, but much more pleasant than Berlin. We even slept at night with the windows open. The staff is friendly and the lobby looks very nice. The WLan is good and stable and you have a drinking water dispenser on every level, because the American tap water is very chlorinated. Not so good is the fact that our room was a bit worn, the decor and the bathroom have a bit of a bit on the puckel. Partly the joints were germinated and the mattress stained. Every day the bed was made, towels changed and sucked (at least the appearance seemed), but dust wiping was a foreign word from the first day. Conclusion: for the price in the area you can do it, if you are not so sensitive, I had worse accommodations.
