1) Zero wall insulation. You will hear your neighbors speaking at a normal tone or doing "other" things.
2) Zero floor insulation. If you have a second or first floor room, you are bound to hear each step from the room above you.
3) I had to educate the agent upon check-in about Hilton Honors Terns and Conditions for Gold/Diamond upgrades when room inventory is available. Nor was I offered points for lack of breakfast due to restaurant being closed. To the MOD, Front Office Manager or GM that replies or monitors this, I suggest you read and educate your staff on Hilton's loyalty program and benefits.
Guest retention = greater fill rate = scaling to higher ADR
Either that or ask your ownership to go independent.
4) The "garden view" room is a view of leaves from tree that obscure any true view.
5) There is an A-frame sign outside the property that indicates hotel valet parking, however there is no valet parking. I'm super fine with that, but how about move the damn sign. Hospitality is about attention to detail.
I won't be returning here EVER, and when I get back to D.C., I will recommend to Hilton HQ in McLean that they strongly consider pushing brand standards harder here or remove the Hilton flag from this property.
EDIT to response:
A room upgraded room was available upon arrival as it was bookable on the app, but it took 'Hospitality 101' to educate your agent. Accept the loss here and move on in working to improve your staffs skillset and using kindness and service to overshadow your building's flaws...duh..
