I must share with you what happened to me in an effort to stop this from happening to any of you.
The warning light went on in my MINI Clubman telling me there was a problem with the headlight. Took it in into Crevier MINI to have it checked out. They told me part of the headlight had melted and I needed a new headlight, not just a bulb. Quote - $557.46. They also told me the oil filter housing was leaking and needs replaced or the car would overheat. Quote $1,190.03. I told them thank you, I would pick up the car (minus the repairs).
I promptly took the car for a second opinion. The headlight bulb was burnt out, nothing burned. Replacement bulb - $67.00.
And....NO leaks were found in the oil filter housing. No repair needed.
