I do not understand why we are blocking a two-lane...

I do not understand why we are blocking a two-lane street that was previously functional and open to traffic (even if it passed in front of the embassy). There are plenty of people who live, work or pass through there and it doesn't make it easy for them to share the other lane of the other with motorists from the other direction (connoisseurs will understand). I'm not telling you when the two lanes (2x2) were closed to traffic. A real circus. For that alone I would have liked to put a zero out of five for the evaluation but unfortunately it is not possible.
Thank you our US friends for that! I am sure you would not have accepted such a situation at home.
