If I could post no star I would. I went to the ER ...

If I could post no star I would. I went to the ER in severe pain. They said wait time was 6 mins. I waited 2 hours. When taken back there were no rooms so I was put in a chair. As I watched people come and go The blood guy came to draw blood. I asked what it was for and he said doctor ordered tests. I said I haven't seen a doctor. A nurse in the room piped up and said yes you did. I said no I haven't seen anybody but when I checked in. She said "you just saw that guy ,pointing to the blood guy. I said I was referring to the doctor. She very rudely said the doctor note is here you saw her. I was afraid there was a mix up. The nurse was so rude. Then the doctor came in and I asked if I had seen her and looked at me like I was crazy. Of course the nurse said nothing at that point. I said I wanted to clarify that I had NOT seen her to the nurse. The nurse just left her nose in the computer and ignored me. The doctor asked why I was there and I told her . I also mentioned I was just a year out of surgery. After I said that she asked me why I was there and didn't go back to St Vincents, which is an hour from my house. I told her I live here and had surgery there but all my doctors are in O.P. . She said she would order a cat scan and then said I will give you pain meds. I told her I don't want pain meds. Wow the look I got. I had already showed her 2 bottles of pain meds I had and was taking. Every person in the er ignored me after what the nurse has said. Several people came and asked everyone in the room but me if the wanted a blanket or water. I watched a LOT of people come and go for the next THREE hours. Finally the doctor came and ltold me of my rest results and said she would prescribe some meds. By this point, after 5 hours of sitting in a chair in agony, I was crying and said ok I just want to go home. She left to what I assumed to get discharge papers and I waited 40 mins and she never came back. I walked out with IV still in my arm. I walked right by a nurse that had been tending to everyone in that room (except me ) and he never said a word. I have NEVER been treated with such disrespect in my life. What a terrible experience. I will be letting the world know it's worth the hour drive to St Vincent's to be treated. Orange Park Hospital has a very bad reputation for a very good reason!!
