I *hated* my experience with this hospital for labor and delivery. I chose it because of their partnership with Intown Midwifery (who are awesome), but it was definitely the last time I'm setting foot there.
- No parking validation. Not a big deal, but I don't really want to spend an extra ~$50 in parking for all my prenatal visits.
- Being (over)charged while I was laboring (husband was too worried about me to refuse at the time. Since they had whisked him away, all he could think was to get back to me ASAP, not about how insurance works)
- Bitter cold rooms. I was shivering so badly while laboring. We complained (multiple times), they brought blankets, so I was stuck sitting in a cocoon of blankets rather than laboring as I had been taught.
- Understaffed. For this reason, no water births were being allowed that evening (and, of course, no refund for water birth certificate)
- Making me sign things while in bed at ~2 or 3am after a 10pm delivery. I vaguely remember the nurse coming in, and that's about it. Thank goodness it was just some notice about not dropping/shaking babies and not something important! Husband didn't even know she had come in.
- Slow response time. Pain meds were delivered over an hour after requesting them.
- Lack of communication among nurses. We were charged for an extra day we had said we didn't want to stay for and had been assured we'd be out in time. Discharging nurse had no idea we were trying to leave.
- 3+ months to refund the $1000 they had overcharged. Ya, still working that out, thanks.
