Disappointed. That is the best way to describe my visit. The stay was enjoyable from the standpoint of staying in an old historic building which was fun. The rooms are small and dated, but that is part of staying in an older place and I expected this.

The major pain points was the service received. For the money, and from a "four diamond" award winner I expected more, a lot more. Upon arrival the lounge was closed which was annoying as access to the lounge was a big reason for closing to stay there. I was told it would be open in the morning. It was not. I asked the front desk and was told I could still go in there if I wanted as it was not locked. It was in fact locked. I was told I could get breakfast from the buffet in the restaurant. There was no buffet in the restaurant. I was then told they were very low occupancy hence things were closed. Okay, then why was I not upgraded at check in as I am a Diamond member of Hilton?

Overall while the hotel was neat from a building standpoint, the stay was a dissapointment in all other respects. There are plenty of other hotels in the area, I will not try the Seelbach again.
