I had a very mixed experience. Alden Marine Transport towed my 28' cc on my trailer from northern NJ to SW Florida in April 2018. As agreed 1/2 of their fee was paid in advance and the other 1/2 was paid promptly when the boat and trailer where delivered.
They stated that they would be putting their commercial trailer tag on my trailer for the tow. I could not be there when they pick up the boat and trailer but this never happened.
About a month after delivery and full payment we received an invoice from NJ EZ Pass for $130 in unpaid for Tolls and Fees by Alden. While Alden did attempt to resolve the issue with NJ EZ Pass, NJ EZ Pass would only accept payment from the trailer tag owner. Alden agreed to reimburse me for the Tolls and Fees. But, despite repeated request this has not happened as of Dec. 2018. Further, when the boat was delivered a part to the boat had been put on their truck, without my knowledge, has never been delivered to date.
Despite repeated request Alden will not reply to phone calls/messages, text or eMails. Based upon other reviews and our initial interactions I felt David Wilkes at Alden was a man of his word. Unfortunately, it appears that this is not the case so far.
