I moved into the Ranch at Shadowlake, an Olympus Property in Houston, on March 1, 2017. My best friend lives here so I knew what to expect. The grounds are beautiful! The meandering paths through the complex are a balm to the soul. The pools are resort style and sparkling clean most of the time. The only times the pool is dirty is after a storm or a giant pool party and its cleaned up within 12 hours. The landscaping is impressive, both around the pools and the grounds in general. The guys who do the maintenance are fantastic, kind, helpful, and NEVER STOP WORKING. The staff immediately became my new friends. Every person in the office greets me with a smile. I am in the office often as I get most things delivered and the office staff never fails to help me out with anything I may need. Will and Cindy are the incredible office crew who can solve ANY problem in a matter of minutes and are always willing to share a laugh.
The Ranch is my quiet and peaceful home. I sit out on my patio often and just listen to the birds and share greetings with my very friendly neighbors. If you're looking for a party, the pool is jumping on the weekends but the music and noise is respectfully turned off at 10pm. I have never felt unsafe and I walk and run with my dog multiple times throughout the day and night. There's an HPD officer who lives above me, and another who lives in the next building over, and that definitely helps with my feeling of safety.
If you're on the fence about moving in here, take the plunge! It's an awesome place to live. Oh man, can't forget the darling baby ducklings in the little lake that I get to squeal over on my walks! What else can I say, it's a great place to come home to. :)
