TLDR: One of the best bike shop experiences ever. Buying a new bike is a big deal. Fresh made it seem every bit as special, and informed, as it should be.

I'll be honest, my first time visiting Fresh a few years ago was intimidating. Specialty models, lots of MTB-specific gear and parts, and very knowledgeable staff all can seem overwhelming at first. But this is the sort of shop that is great at breaking down those things into digestible chunks, and really helping you get the right setup to fulfill your mountain bike dreams.

I returned because I wanted to test ride a few different bikes, and their location near Big Creek makes it easy to try out a lot of great bikes in one session. They set up four different bikes for me to try, and were great about talking me through what I liked about each one after each ride. This helped me to better reflect on what I wanted. They swapped out parts for me, were meticulous about shock settings and saddle height, and were constantly enthusiastic and patient.

Buying an expensive bike is a big deal. Fresh made it seem every bit as special, and informed, as it should be. Every staff person was friendly, eager to help out, and genuine about their love of riding. They helped me create a unique setup for my final bike that was better than I could ever have reached otherwise, and every ride I'm grateful I went back to the shop.
