We admitted my mother for skilled nursing care aft...

We admitted my mother for skilled nursing care after she was released from hospital. The first red flag upon admission was that my mom was without oxygen for over 2 hours because no one there could figure out what was wrong with oxygen unit in her room. My mother has one similar at home so when my niece and nephew arrived they immediately knew what the problem was because they live two doors down from her and were familiar with it. The lid on the water bottle simply needed to be secured....it was not. It took 2 seconds to get it working. In addition to their inability to know how to use the oxygen units (which by the way are in pretty much every room ) upon admission the nurse took her records from the hospital so she could go input mom's medication list into computer and make sure that they had all medications on hand. She was admitted on Saturday and we were informed on Monday that Mom had not been given all of her medications since admission because they did not have them in stock. Seriously???? She also had reports of a fall during the night on Saturday and Sunday. Of course we went through all of the channels to voice our concerns and were assured that everything possible would be done to correct the issues we were having and were told that they would do everything they could to 'earn our trust' back. My sister arrived early this morning to find her laying in her own urine. Not only were her clothes soiled but the mattress was soaked as well. I am not sure she was ever attended to during the night.
Needless to say, we are having Mom transferred from there today to a different facility. I know that they all have 'their issues" but I seriously cannot imagine getting any worse care than my Mom has received at Carrillon. I would not trust them to take care of my dog. I hope that this
honest review will save a patient and their family from this horrific experience we have had with them.
