The meal was an amazing experience, although the menu was on the complex side, we finally figured out a way to get what we wanted. The wine list was, of course, exceptional, and we were able to find a modestly priced (~200 euros) bottle of truly excellent wine. The only snafu was our waiter quite accidentally spilled a bottle of champange and some got on my suit jacket and a bit on my pants. They were so much more mortified over this than I was- and I must say, they cleaned it all up literally in 20 or 30 seconds, tops, rolling back the table and completely replacing our entire service- I really could have cared less. I suppose some of their clientele wiould't have felt that way as they gave us a different waiter! I felt really badly for the guy, accidents happen, and it wasn't like it all ended up in my lap. Sometimes adversity shows the true mettle of an organization and the way they handled this showed just how professional and dedicated they were.

Anyway, I will recommend the cheese plate, it was the best one we had in all of France. Be prepared to spend your whole evening there, things move at the right pace for you to enjoy everything fully and your reservation gets you the table for the whole night. If you don't do the cheese plate, do Crepes Suzutte, which seemed to be their specialty as most of those dining around us ordered this and the crepes are flamed in brandy right at your table. They smelled delicious! Even so, the cheese plate was truly epic, just an incredible assortment of flavors mild and strong. Worth the visit!
