Able Group are an absolute disgrace. It took them 3.5 weeks to install a triple glazed window after they did the estimate. From the outset, they knew of my timeliness, a holiday coinciding with my house sale completion. I requested the window be installed before I went on holiday.
They were unable to meet my needs. I was ringing them 2-3 times a day trying to pin them down for a installation date. They kept fobbing me off with a couple of lies as to why the window was taking so long. I had a gaping window at the back of my house which they offered to secure, but at extra cost. I declined. This added to my workload as daily I was a anticipating having to change my work diary at short notice. They appear to have no understanding of this or customer care.
Finally, I managed to pin them down to the 28th August - when I was away, which they knew. Fortunately I was able to find someone to let them in. I wrote a complaint to their customer relations team before going on holiday and still have not received an apology.
To my dismay, I have come back from holiday to find a new window installed, but with a crack in the bottom left hand corner. I believe they either knew of the crack already, or, it cracked during installation. Craftily, rather than asking the girl to come back and inspect the work, they dropped the keys back to her, and got her to sign without inspection. Therefore I have no witnesses. The outstanding money was taken out of my account without inspection.
I rang Able yesterday and spoke to a manager who became very nasty and said we'd have to pay for it all over again.
Do not go near this company, they are total Cowboys!
