We arrived this morning and were spoken to very abruptly by reception and didnt feel welcome at all. We were asked to go and sit and wait whilst our booking came into the system! When i went back up to show my confirmation he said i know sit down i will call you when i am ready! The attitude of the reception staff was terrible. The girl was answering another guests questions with a really bad attitude and very belittling it seems the staff in this hotel feel they are more superior than the guests. We were checked in and given a room. Very tired room in need of a good paint.doors on cabinet broken. Mini bar fridge with nothing in it! And a kettle! No cups saucers tea coffee. Had a nice breakfast with room service which was great and then headed to the pool. We were stopped entering the pool until we had gone back to our room to get a shower cap which we then had to wear in the pool! Never in my life or my travels have i come across this policy. We werent told where the changing rooms were and sent into a bar area we found seated curtained areas which we thought were changing areas and undressed there. The floors were lethal and i slipped 3 times walking very carefully. There was an exercise class in the pool taking a lot of room so limited space to swim. I was told off on my first length because my shower cap wasnt covering my whole head felt like i was at school no a hotel. We will see what the night brings!
