Worst rafting trip ever and I m an experienced rafter/kayaker. Was on the premier trip on July 21st. There were way to many boats on the water. Checking in, getting our life jackets and traveling to the river was fine. From that point forward the trip went down hill. We had 20 boats in our grouping. There was a second launching of 20 boats from the same vendor plus another 20 from a different vendor all trying to use the same water at the same time. We unfortunately were in one of the first boat that launched. We were immediately directed to the bank to wait for our entire group to get together which took over an hour. Once we started down the river the cluster-F started. 3 of the 4 guides we had were excellent, Art, Brian and Catherine, didn t meet the other, very helpful and deserve at a minimum double pay for having to deal with this trip. There was no organization going down the river with so many boats. The guide would tell us stay to the right or left and go single file. With 60 boats in the same waterways there is no single file. All there was was boat after boat on the rocks blocking the path thru. There was no room to paddle as boat after boat crashed into us from the side the back and every direction possible. It was more than dangerous. It was miserable. I tried to convince first timers that whitewater rafting can be a great deal of fun and that they should try it somewhere else with guided rafts so they could experience what rafting should be like and is at everyplace else. Out time assigned to checkin and get out life jackets was 12:25. We did not get back until 730ish. Long and miserable day. Stay away from this place and this river as it is way too crowded to be safe or fun.
