SEEMINGLY a great salon. I went in about a month ago for a consultation I had previously booked over the phone with Andrea. She said there would be no issue with getting the colour that I wanted to get done. When I came in for my appointment , she wasn t very friendly seeing as the only person that acknowledged me was the receptionist. On top of that, Andrea never got around to actually having a consultation with me, so the receptionist had to ask the owner Jimmy to take the appointment for her. Jimmy seemed very rushed and short throughout the process. We barely spoke, and he ended up colouring a test patch of my hair to see if we could get it to the very colour I wanted that Andrea had earlier assured would not be a problem to accomplish. Needless to say, it ended up a VERY poor job done. Jimmy damaged over 12 inches of my hair. My hair is very long and thick, growing to the end of my tailbone. The patch test that was done to see if I can make my medium brown hair into a lighter brown, had completely broken off less than a day later resulting in hair breakage of over 10 inches. This has left me embarrassed, spending extra money and seeking help from another salon to fix the damage done. I am extremely disappointed in this salon and with the owner himself for this mishap. I would NOT trust this salon with any type of hair colouring because what I went through was a traumatizing, unfortunate experience that could have ended worse if I hadnt noticed the breakage! If I had followed through with an appointment to dye my whole head, as assured by the staff (Jimmy/Andrea) would work, I would have been left with a whole head of damage. I had a full hair colour booked the following week. This review is a WARNING. PLEASE do your research and listen to your gut if you feel rushed or uncomfortable in an environment that SHOULD be trusted. This salon was very deceiving and seemingly just wanted my money. A great LACK of care for my hair was presented at Cabella Hair salon.
