When my husband collapsed from a stroke, we called...

When my husband collapsed from a stroke, we called ahead to inform Beacon that we were bringing him in. The Emergency Dept doctors were already on standby to receive & give early intervention. They were quick but most of all, kind and reassuring. It made a huge difference at our moment of crisis. During his stay, my husband was sometimes confused and gave the nurses much work. They were always pleasant and served him patiently. A visit and prayers from Beacon's pastoral care brought much comfort. The security guards are always willing to lend a hand. I was queried by concerned family on our choice of putting my husband in Beacon, more well known for cancer care. My answer is that Beacon is a caring hospital. And that, is as important as getting access to the best doctors.
Thankyou to the staff of Beacon Hospital. You truly gave Uncle Seb the best care.
