This group does great work. People who have given bad reviews may just misunderstand the information they received.
For one, adopting only ONE kitten with no other pets with which to play is not a great situation. Two kittens or a younger cat or dog is best to keep the kitten entertained and out of trouble. As well as teaching the new kitten the "ways of the home". Maybe it should have been explained or suggested two kittens are better than one. Many reputable rescues have a policy of only adopting kittens in pairs, or with a playmate in their new home.
Dogs taken to Multnomah shelter will get great care. They do not immediately euthanize dogs with issues. Again, the shelter is staffed with caring professionals who will behavior test the animals and do all they can do to get the dog (and cats) training, attention and hopefully a home.
