It was mid summer, a beautiful Texas day, clouds speckled the sky like spots on a heffer ready to give birth. As I and my compatriots stumbled around with sun weary legs guiding us aimlessly, looking for a something cold to rid us of the sun that ravished our bodies into a hellish frenzy of heat and sweat that rolled down our backs. We began at each others throats. "Quickly, we must find nourishment and drinks!" one spoke into the wind. "Guys," he says "this heat is brutal." Spotting a smiling face with what looked to be some sort of bottle covering its mouth. I began to believe that my sun soaked brain was merely playing tricks on my eyes. ALAS! I stress no longer for my eyes were not playing tricks on me, a building with a smiling face with the words "Deep Ellum Brewery?" I sputter out of my mouth. With a quick and decisive decision my humble associates and I wonder like curious puppies into this incredibly welcoming warm environment. Fellow humans laugh and cheer on the exterior with their familiars by their sides. Pulling open the doors to the interior we are blasted by the frigged air of the chamber within. Extravagant art lines the wall, a beautiful face welcomes us. "You boys look like you could use a drink." She says in a angelic voice. More humans inside playing card games, large towers constructed of small pieces of wood topple over in jubilee, the bartenders quickly pour ales, and beers handing them to the servers. "That we do ma'am, that we do."
