If I could I would give negative Stars! Yesterday ...

If I could I would give negative Stars! Yesterday I went to my local PetSmart in Aurora. I saw a nine week old kitten name Sawyer up for adoption. I immediately filled out my application on her, and turned it into the staff at PetSmart. I was told that because of my age (18), that I'd have to bring in a 21 year old the next day and have them help me fill out even more paperwork and that they'd have to fax over my application. Excited, I went home fell asleep and woke up the next day and called the PetSmart and they told me that they had no holding process for the kitten but I was the only applicant that put an application down on her. I went in and talked to another staff member who i gave proof of my landlord accepting that getting this kitten was alright along with brought in a household member over the age of 21 and the staffmember said that they had just faxed over my paperwork and that I'd have to wait for a phone call from the PetSmart so I waited keep in mind I went in at 1 p.m. and I waited until about 5:10 p.m. and still no call so I decided to call into my local PetSmart. When I called in a manager I believe named Charles answered the phone and told me that my papers faxed over and he would get in contact with Rocky Mountain feline rescue and that he would call me back when he got in contact. I waited another hour and finally got a call from Carrie, she was very rude and very disrespectful throughout the whole phone call. She told me that she did not like the fact that I was 18 years old and assumed I had a whole life ahead of me I would not have the time to take care of a cat, she accused me of being immature, keep in mind I have owned 2 rabbits for 4 years and a ferret for a year now. I also have graduated well over a year ago and have gone to college. I stated and i quote on my application that "if I got a declawed cat I would be fine with it but personally I would not declawed cat myself." Then she proceeded to twist my words around and accuse me of wanting to declaw the cat if i got it (being from Michigan also didnt know it was illegal). Then proceeded to be rude and disrespectful before telling me I was declined on my application and hung up on me.

I have grown up around many cats my whole life and not once have I had one declawed. I know how to raise an animal due to the fact that I have owned animals practically my whole life. I felt that the service was very rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful. I will never adopt an animal from here again. I suggest you not waste your time attempting to adopt from this service.
