I ordered jerk wings & fries....horrible!!! The wings were just dry seasoned & u can tell they were not marinated. The fries would have been decent if they weren't sweet. This is NOT authentic jerk. There are at minimum 3 other jerk places in Chicago (2 out west and 1 in Hyde Park) that are 100x better..the seasoning is authentic, the chicken (all meat, including wings) is marinated well, & the prices are fair. This place lacked all 3 of those things.
This place is cultural appropriation at its worst; creating a watered down recipe & placing it in a newly gentrified neighborhood. I can almost guarantee that anyone giving this place 5 stars hasn't experienced real Carribean jerk food.
