RESPONSE TO CORY PITTS:What Mr. Pitts doesn't real...

RESPONSE TO CORY PITTS:What Mr. Pitts doesn't realize is that even thou we are a rki distributer and do warranty work for rki. When a customer just walks in the door in the middle of a work day techs are working on jobs that have been promised out that day.if we stop work every time a customer wants to have a a tool box or service body looked at we would not be able to keep our promise to those customers. It would be the same if we were working on Mr Pitts tool box and stop working on it to go look at another vehicle. As far as the double dipping as Mr Pitts put it. For one thing it doesn't matter what we think on a warranty claim . The old part has to be packaged and shipped to rki and it is up to rki decision if it is warranted not us. Rki only pays $30.00 an hour which is a far cry from our shop rate of $105.00 per hour ,plus rki doesn't pay me money they only give product credit which means I would wait and buy something from rki to even any kind of payment. If we would have charged Mr Pitts it is only due to Mr Pitts couldn't wait for rki decision on warranty. Even if that did happen we would have credited Mr Pitts any charges that he payed. So their is no double dipping. The only one at a disadvantage is this company, I have to pay for the tech ,insurance, overhead, building, ups, driver to take to ups so I don't see how getting $35.00 of product credit is anywhere profitable. We value our customers and don't mind doing warranty work for rki but it has to be worked in depending on our work load. We are sorry that Mr Pitts did not have a better experience and hope we can do better in the future.
