I read a very negative review of this agency quite awhile ago...unfortunately, it was too late. I had already signed a lease with Micah. at Silverton Realty. At first she seemed professional, outgoing and organized. I could make a list of all of the negative experiences we had with Micah and the agency but you would be reading all day. Here are some highlights/lowlights...Upon moving in a we had to wait FIVE days for hot water. Finally, I was told the plumber would be coming so I took off a day of work to be home. They never showed and Micah doesn't return phone calls or emails. On top of that, the water preasure to most of the house was at a trickle. I felt stupid feeling like I should have tested the water when viewing the property. We had to wash pots & pans in the bathroom and a good shower was impossible. It took over 4 months to have the plumbing and dishwasher repaired. When we could actually get in touch with Micah, she blamed the home owners for the delay. We had been told by Micah that the homeowners were moving into the house before our lease would be up. So, we hung in there desparately because we needed Micah to find us another home as she promised. We had asked for the contact information for the owners but were denied. By some miracle, the daughter of the owners had stopped by while in town and left us a note on our door. Then we were able to contact the owners. We were surprised that they didn't know about all of the drama and thought Micah was handling everything. I went into the agency to finally confront Micah and her abilitites but she was on vacation (when she told us she was working with the plumbers etc and woud call us back). I had had enough and spoke to a lead agent telling them of all of the mess. I received a return call from the agency but then found out they were relatives. So not much would be accomplished. I was just fed up with the lies and mishandling. When we moved into the home we also had a skunk problem. She acted surprised of the problem and said the handyman would fix it. Well, I took another day and waited. The guys rolled a rock in fron of the fence..that was the solution. The handyman also told me that the previous tenant had to come home from work because he smelled of skunk. So this was not a new problem...another lie. I finally gave up on communicating with her all together. We communicate directly with the home owners..what is the point of having a property manager? We are returning to our previous property management company Amsden Realty and are thrilled. We are planning to purchase our home next year and will steer clear of Silverton Realty
