In August we had a debit card change and at that time decided we would no longer pursue coverage through Common Ground. During this time the Marketplace was also seeking out more information from us which we did not send. In October we purchased a healthshare plan. On October 15th common ground proceeded to pull over $2300 from our checking account. This was over $1000 than they had permission to pull and were never given our updated card information. When we called to have them refund this money they told us only the marketplace could do this. DO NOT BELIEVE THEM! The marketplace does not pull your money or refund it. Common ground can go in at any time and pull any amount of money without any notice to you. No emails, phone calls or texts. Do not give them your account info, mail in your premiums. If you are canceling do not let your account term out, call marketplace and cancel immediately. If you over pay at all, common ground makes it virtually impossible to get this money back. They will tell you to appeal it and this can take anywhere from 60-90 days to happen, if it does. They have 12 complaints against them filed with the Better Business Bureau. Not a company I would ever work with again or recommend using. Do your research, build a relationship with your insurance broker, and do not give out your financial information. Good luck.
