I bought a 2004 Jeep Liberty sport from Ferco Moto...

I bought a 2004 Jeep Liberty sport from Ferco Motors about three weeks ago. The sales man was really nice and the manager was super nice as well, I was told by the sales man that the Jeep had been thoroughly inspected and that there was nothing wrong with it. I purchase it and everything is fine when last week I m driving down N Miami and all of a sudden the Jeep starts to sway all over the place. I pull over and check the tires, all is fine. So I check underneath the rear of the Jeep and see the stabilizer bar rusted and snapped and on top of that several parts are also rusted and potentially a safety hazard as well. What kind of inspection did they do on the Jeep and how could they sell it to me with those safety issues. I call Ferco Motors after I saw the broken part and inquired about them fixing it and they said they would install the parts, but I have to buy it.
Ok given the part is $60, but that s a part that should ve been fixed prior to them selling it and I m sure I will be having to replace some other parts that are rusted in the near future too.
When it come down to it the rusted parts should ve been inspected more thoroughly and replaced prior to the Jeep being sold and I shouldn t have to buy the part for something that shouldn t have been broken. Even though the Jeep was sold as is .
Word of advice is always inspect the undercarriage of what ever vehicle you buy used from any dealer.

I was lucky not to have been driving on the highway when the part broke because the Jeep would ve flipped.
