Overall, I had a great experience here. Spent four days attending an excellent conference. I decided not to rent a car as the conference was running about 10 hrs a day inside the hotel. I ate most of my meals on site. The staff was awesome! Polite, helpful, smiling throughout. The food was good. This conference had 1000 attendees and the hotel put on a buffet for lunches and dinners in the sports bar. Reasonably priced, with two types of salad (not just iceberg lettuce), a starch, seasonal vegetables, and two kinds of protein (chicken breast and a fish-usually salmon but I did enjoy the sword fish too), plus soup of the day. My room was small with a view of the side and roof of the building next door. I requested a queen room or a king (they were listed as choices I could pick in the registration process) and a special request of a fridge. My room had two full sized beds (vs. queen). I really didn't expect them to provide the fridge, so that wasn't a big disappointment. Generally, it was a small room. Big enough for one person but if four people stay in that room, I hope they are comfortable in a cramped environment and know each other very well. Housekeeping may have been overwhelmed unfortunately. I wanted my room made up the second day, and the trash emptied. But Housekeeping had not made it to my room when I come in at 7:30 pm. The front desk sent someone to empty the trash while I was at dinner (at my request). The bed was comfortable. I enjoyed the sliding glass door for the fresh air. Picture is from the 15 inch wide balcony, looking at the rollercoaster and tower drop rides at Great America. Would I stay here again? Not that room. But I would at this hotel.
