Museum with portraits of English characters, from Tudor to today. Interesting under the historical profile, but also artistic. Many paintings are signed by great painters, from van Dick to Lucien Freud. The 2nd floor has 20 rooms and goes from the early 16th century to the early 19th century. The 1st floor has 15 rooms, from the Victorian era to the 20th century. On the ground floor there are rooms dedicated to contemporary characters and temporary exhibitions for a fee. An entire day is necessary for a thorough visit.
