I was recently in to O Brien Subaru service for my 18k service. The first person I saw was the porter, a gentleman named Will Rogers. As far as I am concerned he works harder than everyone else in the service department. I never saw the man slow down or stop moving the entire time I waited for my car to be serviced. ( And on a side note this man is 70 years old). In the 90 s and early 2000 s I was a service advisor for a very large dealership locally. The jobs they have this porter doing used to be a part of the advisor job. I hope he is being paid accordingly, however I doubt that he is. They have an awesome hardworking employee in Will Rogers.

Once inside the service facility I met with my advisor Gabriel. It was obvious to me instantly that this was a new job for him. New, not just at the dealer but to advising. Although he was a very nice man, he brought my repair order over during my service to attempt to sell me several services that not only did I not need, but when I mentioned that I couldn t possiblly need a fuel injection service at 16,600, he the realized the low mileage on my 2018 Crosstrex and stated never mind. My concern is this. What type of technician sends a repair order to a new service advisor with a laundry list of services that clearly DO NOT need to be performed? Was a lube technician allowed to write down his wish list, or was a genuine certified Subaru technician allowed to write up that list? The service manager was no where to be found for me to log my concerns with him. This advisor needs more training and trust in the technicians that bring him repair orders.

I believe 100 percent in taking your car to who knows the brand best. However I now have serious doubts about taking my car back to OBrien Subaru once the factory service and warranty have expired. I need to trust that the dealer knows what my car needs and tells me the absolute truth. I do not feel this last visit reflects this honesty.

I also had asked for the advisor to have my car washed after the service. I really needed it vacumned after the long holidays. It was returned to me undone. When I asked if it had been cleaned, Gabriel did offer to then have it done then, but after a 2 and a half hour wait for an oil change, (with appointment), I chose to leave with a dirty car.
