I am extremely disappointed with my new GE stove from Appliance Canada, i have only had it a month and it has caused a major malfunction on a day i was right in the middle of cooking a turkey for a pre-Christmas dinner for my family! i called in a panic on the Saturday early in the day and i was told that no techs could help me not even on the phone, i had a house full of people and the oven just stopped cooking when the turkey was less than half done! disaster!!! i was told that i have to wait util Monday because even a big company like GE has no weekend service or technical help. today is now Tuesday and i have not received a call on Monday or today yet so while i write this have been am sitting on hold for the past 20 minutes. i am asking for a full refund and returning the stove within my return time under their policy. both GE and Appliance Canada are big companies so i am shocked they had nobody working the weekends to help with emergencies such as this. at the very least call me on the Monday as promised... i made them full aware that i dont have a stove to use and the big problem i had on a big day so i really just cant understand this poor after the sale service! still on hold... I will choose a company in the future that has weekend service available or at least after hours tech support...

Addition after call
Just to update in writing, I just got off the phone and was told I actually don t have a 30 day refund or exchange because the stove is used??? I was told that GE is responsible after the stove is used and it is their discretion on what they want to do and that they will try to fix it and or exchange it. that s all nice but im really now even more upset because when I am sold the unit I was told everything has a 30 day refund and or exchange if there is a problem or if it is not the right one. No one ever mentioned that it cannot be used? How do you not use the stove? I was never told not to hook it up. I didn t have any intention of returning the stove but due to the circumstances I don t understand why I am being told I cannot get a refund or exchange if I am not happy. So what s the point of having a 30 day refund policy, everyone usually hooks up their stove right away so nobody basically can return things they buy and are not happy with? I guess I have no choice to wait for the call from GE but I am not happy with the after the sale service and no longer trust this product. Your policy should be a lot more clear to people about no refunds or exchanges if the appliance is used!
