Such an iconic monument. In the visitors center beneath the arch is a theater that shows a movie about the construction of the arch which I found very fascinating.
The ride to the top takes four minutes in an egg shaped pod with 5 people in it. The pod rotates 155 degrees as it travels to the top over 600 feet in the air.
You may spend as much time at the top as you like looking out the small windows.
