Jeni Goodenow Review of Banner Good Samaritan

Beware, you need to be a constant advocate for your family members care. My mom was just released from this place and it was the worst experience. No one talks to each other, the case managers call you shortly after arrival to talk about leaving when the patient is still unresponsive. Then they don't call you about discharge and think since your mom can speak one sentence she is coherent enough...Its all BS.
They are a factory mill and want you out ASAP and the doctors do not treat as an individual they treat pieces parts not the whole person. My mom left with a bed sore and 20 lbs lighter because they didn't turn her or made sure she got enough nutrition. they drop her food off and then she was left to fend for herself despite her inability to hold a spoon. I had to request PT because she hadn't left her bed in 5 days and it wasn't until I said something that people looked at her chart. Lastly, they do not look at rehabs and make sure they are sending patients to good facilities. They wanted to send my mother to reported abuse facilities. This place was so unprofessional and I don't trust my dog to go there let alone family members. OH and P.S. she was there for almost 2 weeks and never had a shower. P.S.S. if your automated review person even tells me to contact customer care don't bother, why should I go out of my way to email your customer care center....you should be reaching out to people not making them do it. Thats how customer service works.
